Process Order Matters
Etch → PVD → AFP (recommended): The entire surface receives uniform PVD color, and the etched pattern appears as a subtle tonal variation. Most durable.
PVD → Etch (specialty): Creates a two-tone effect (PVD color in recessed areas, bare steel on raised surfaces). Visually striking but edges may be vulnerable.

How It Works
Steel rollers press patterns into the stainless steel surface under high pressure. Unlike etching, embossing doesn't remove material — it deforms it, creating raised and recessed areas.
